Title: Infrastructure Assets - Foundation to our Quality of Life
Authors: Moss, Craig

Issue Date: 2022
Publisher: Institute of Public Works Engineering Australasia Queensland
Abstract: As a society, we take our infrastructure assets for granted. We expect them to perform to a level of service that our communities expect. When an asset fails or is not serviceable, there may be minor or major impacts or inconveniences to the community, elected leaders, or asset owners. Consequences can relate to safety, public health, traffic inconvenience, business disruption, service outages, or the public’s ability to use or enjoy an area or facility. This presentation will investigate the different ways that assets can fail and the resulting consequences to different stakeholders.
