Abstract: | In 2004 the Australian Government introduced a Vision Zero initiative with the aim of reducing fatalities and serious injuries throughout Australia to zero by year 2050. The current road incident trends indicate that failure to improve on the current situation will result in 12,000 fatalities and 360,000 injuries in the next decade, at a cost of over $300 billion dollars (Woolley and Crozier, 2018). |
