Abstract: | Securing funding for projects often depends on developing a compelling narrative of project need and benefit. The Investment Logic Mapping (ILM) is a powerful tool which clarifies the purpose and rationale for an investment. Through capturing different perspectives within a project lifecycle, the workshop and discussion that occurs as part of the ILM process helps to build a shared understanding and ownership of project objectives. This process has been used on local infrastructure projects from preliminary evaluation phases, business case and detailed design to define the investment logic increasing the success rate of securing funding. |
