Issue Date: 2020

Abstract: Most people have a clear impression of what their careers and work experience will be like working in a city environment, or in country towns. Few professionals in the early stage of their career have experience working in both situations. In this presentation I will talk about my experience working in a rural town and urban centres from the perspective of an entry-level civil engineer. It aims to provide an understanding of what benefits, challenges, opportunities and learnings are available for both settings.
