Abstract: In a fiscally constrained environment with increasing energy prices, councils need to understand the risks and opportunities involved and how they can deliver greater revenue. Ren, Graham and Stewart will take you on a journey beyond poles and wires and explore: • the importance of effective due diligence in managing risks on future projects • identification and selection process of potential renewables projects • engaging and partnering with the private sector • how councils can future-proof their opportunities • leveraging undervalued assets base for renewable energy projects Biography Ren Niemann For more than 18 years, Ren has extensively provided all levels of government and the private sector with strategic advice on procurement, construction and infrastructure projects. His focus on these areas means his clients have confidence they are receiving the right commercial advice on the development and procurement of complex projects. Ren’s work spans all forms of procurement and major projects, including PPPs and project financed infrastructure. Graham Cox Graham specialises in project creation, commercial advisory, and project reviews. He has over 15 years of experience advising all levels of government and the private sector on construction, transport, power, energy, commercial, residential, industrial, ICT, and infrastructure projects. Prior to joining McCullough Robertson, Graham was a Director at TBH.
