| Abstract: | Community safety is a priority of the Northern Territory Government. The design of buildings and public spaces, and the way land uses are set out in cities and towns can have an important influence in creating or eliminating opportunities for crime and the fear of crime. Through the planning system there is an opportunity to positively influence development outcomes by ensuring crime prevention is an important consideration as part of the development assessment process. |
