Abstract: The 2012–13 Department of Transport and Main Roads Annual
Report presents performance information for the period 1 July
2012 to 30 June 2013.
In line with the Transport and Main Roads Strategic Plan
2012–2016, the annual report presents information under four
strategic objectives:
á Plan an integrated, reliable and cost-effective transport system
á Deliver transport infrastructure that supports economic growth
and provides access to services for the community
á Manage the transport system to improve safety, useability and
customer service
á Ensure a sustainable and capable workforce with effective
processes and systems that enable better delivery of transport
outcomes.
Each section provides an overview of key information including
highlights, achievements and future priorities. A glossary

Abstract: This annual report for the Department of Transport and Main
Roads details our progress in meeting the objectives of the
Transport and Main Roads Corporate Plan 2011–2015 and
achieving our vision of Connecting Queensland.
We use this report to inform our diverse range of stakeholders about
our activities. In doing this, we ensure our legislative reporting
